Dex

A private, self-hosted smart-home assistant for the Hendriks household in Lemmer, the Netherlands.

What it does

Dex runs on the family's own home server and integrates with their local smart-home setup to help manage daily life:

• Home automation and device control
• Electric-vehicle charging planning (evcc)
• Reading the family Google Calendar to anticipate upcoming trips and make sure the car is charged

Privacy first

Dex is a personal tool, not a commercial service. All data stays on the household's own server. No data is sold, shared, or used for advertising.
